The list of substances of high concern (SVHC) in EU REACH regulations has been increased to 181 items

On January 15, 2018, the European Chemicals administration ECHA added seven substances such as benzo [a] anthracene to the reach SVHC list, and added the environmental endocrine interference attribute of the existing substance bisphenol A (BPA). So far, the reach SVHC list has been updated to 181 items.

SVHC (substances of very high concern) is a substance of high concern, which has dangerous characteristics and causes high concern as specified in Article 57 of the EU REACH regulation. China's manufacturing industry, including toy, electronic appliance, textile leather, mechanical equipment, metal surface treatment, rubber and plastic products, coatings, precious metal production and other enterprises in its supply chain, often receives SVHC requirements from importers or downstream purchasers.

Bisphenol A has been added to the list of SVHC substances. It has endocrine interference and may cause harm to the environment and human health. This update aims to add its hazard attribute.
The SVHC of the list was first published on October 28, 2008 and last updated on January 15, 2018. This list is called the candidate list for all substances added by the European Chemicals Management Agency (ECHA). Bisphenol A has been added to the list of SVHC substances. It has endocrine interference and may cause harm to the environment and human health. This update aims to add its hazard attribute.
As an early domestic enterprise entering the European market, Jiaxing Haitang electronics has long realized the importance of product environmental protection. All products comply with EU REACH regulations and do not contain harmful substances in the SVHC list. At present, the cat7 class VII, cat7a super class VII and subsequent cat8 class high-end network cable products of Haitang electronics have successfully entered the foreign market and enjoy high evaluation in the world. In terms of performance, it has reached the same level as international brands such as CommScope, amp, Simon and Prysmian, and has great advantages in price.
The following is the classification of reach SVHC hazardous substances list:
(1) Carcinogens, teratogenic substances and reproductive toxic substances classified as category 1 and 2 according to EU directive 67 / 548 / EEC. The directive will be recently replaced by EU 1272 / 2008 / EC (classification, labelling and packaging of chemical substances and mixtures, i.e. CLP regulation), which classifies the above hazardous substances as 1a and 1B in the new regulation.
(2) Persistent, bioaccumulative, toxic substances (PBT) and strong persistent and strong bioaccumulative substances (vpvb) determined in accordance with Annex x Ⅲ of reach regulation.
(3) Other substances (such as endocrine interferon) that have serious harmful effects on humans and the environment proved by practical cases.
